Our content is informational and is not investment advice

Alpha Summit Content is published for informational purposes only. It does not constitute investment advice, it is not individualized advice, and it is not a recommendation of any service, strategy, product, or security. You should not use it as the basis for any investment decision. Nothing we publish in an Alpha Summit Space is legal, tax, or accounting advice.

Alpha Summit Content is not a complete analysis of any market, asset class, strategy, manager, industry, or investment. We may reference specific securities, funds, managers, sectors, or transactions to illustrate a point. Those references are not recommendations to buy, sell, or hold anything. Our funds and strategies may or may not hold the investments referenced, and where they do, we make no representation that those positions will be maintained. Personnel of Alpha Summit and SteelPeak may or may not hold positions, directly or indirectly, in the investments discussed.

We take reasonable care to publish accurate information. Even so, we make no representation or warranty, express or implied, as to the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of Alpha Summit Content, and we accept no liability toward third parties in connection with it. Our opinions, views, and analyses are current only as of the date they are published and can change without notice as market, economic, regulatory, or other conditions change. We are under no obligation to update or correct any post after it is published.

Investors should consult their own financial, tax, and legal professionals before acting on anything they read in an Alpha Summit Space. Individual investors should contact their own financial professional to determine what is appropriate for their situation.

No offer, no solicitation

Alpha Summit Spaces are not an offer or solicitation to buy or sell any security or other financial instrument, and they are not an offer of investment management services. No Alpha Summit Content is an offer to sell or a solicitation of an offer to buy an interest in any fund or strategy to any person in any jurisdiction where that offer, solicitation, purchase, or sale would be unlawful.

Alpha Summit Content is not intended for distribution to, or use by, any person or entity in any jurisdiction where that distribution or use would be contrary to law or regulation, or where it would subject Alpha Summit or any of its products or services to a registration, licensing, authorization, or notification requirement.

Alpha Summit private funds, including funds within the Alpha Summit Funds platform, are offered only through a confidential private placement memorandum, subscription agreement, and related offering documents, and only to investors who meet the applicable eligibility standards. Depending on the fund, those standards may require an investor to be an accredited investor, a qualified purchaser, a qualified client, or a qualified institutional buyer. Interests in these funds are not registered under the Securities Act of 1933 and are offered in reliance on an exemption from registration. Any registered fund is offered only by prospectus, which contains complete information about investment objectives, risks, charges, and expenses. Investors should read the offering documents carefully before investing. In the event of any conflict between Alpha Summit Content and the offering documents, the offering documents control.

Important information about investments

Past performance is no guarantee of future results. All investments carry risk and may lose value. Any performance figures referenced in Alpha Summit Content are historical, are not indicative of future results, and do not reflect the experience of any individual investor. Where performance is shown, it may be gross of fees, hypothetical, backtested, or representative of a model rather than an actual account. Hypothetical and backtested results carry inherent limitations because they are prepared with the benefit of hindsight and do not reflect the effect of material economic and market factors on decision making.

Alternative and private market investments

Alternative investments, including private equity, private credit, real estate, venture capital, sports franchise interests, and multi manager fund structures, are speculative and involve a high degree of risk. They are suitable only for investors who can bear the loss of their entire investment. These risks include illiquidity, the absence of a secondary market, long holding periods, limited or no ability to redeem, restrictions on transfer, leverage, concentration, reliance on the skill of underlying managers, limited transparency into underlying holdings, valuations that are estimated rather than observed in a public market, complex tax reporting and potential reporting delays, and fees and expenses that may be higher than those of traditional investments and that will offset returns.

Interval funds and other continuously offered closed end structures provide only limited liquidity through periodic repurchase offers. Those offers may be oversubscribed and prorated, and shares may not be redeemable at the time or in the amount an investor wants.

Options based strategies

Options involve risk and are not suitable for every investor. Writing covered calls generates premium income but caps the upside of the underlying position and does not protect against a decline in the underlying security beyond the premium received. Cash secured puts obligate the writer to purchase the underlying security at the strike price regardless of market value at the time of assignment. Options strategies may not perform as intended in all market environments, and an investor may lose more than the premium received. Before investing in an options based strategy, review the Options Clearing Corporation publication "Characteristics and Risks of Standardized Options," available from your broker or at theocc.com.

General market and asset class risks

  • Equities may decline in value because of real or perceived market, economic, and industry conditions.
  • Fixed income investments are subject to market, interest rate, issuer, credit, inflation, and liquidity risk. Bond prices generally fall as interest rates rise, and strategies with longer durations tend to be more sensitive to rate changes.
  • Foreign and emerging market investments carry heightened risk from currency movements and from economic and political conditions.
  • Commodities carry heightened market, political, regulatory, and natural condition risk and are not suitable for all investors.
  • Concentration in a single sector, issuer, industry, or theme increases volatility relative to a broadly diversified portfolio.
  • Diversification and asset allocation do not ensure a profit and do not protect against loss.

The above is not a complete representation of the risks of any investment. Any tax treatment or tax benefit referenced in Alpha Summit Content is subject to change, and its availability and value depend on individual circumstances. Alpha Summit is not engaged in rendering tax, legal, or accounting advice. Consult a qualified professional.

Investments discussed in an Alpha Summit Space are not deposits or obligations of any bank, are not guaranteed or endorsed by any bank, and are not insured by the FDIC, the Federal Reserve Board, or any other government agency. There is no guarantee that any strategy discussed will work under all market conditions or will be appropriate for all investors. Each investor should evaluate their ability to hold an investment for the long term, particularly through market downturns. Some investments and services discussed may not be available in or appropriate for a retirement plan. Contact your financial professional about restrictions associated with your plan.

Forward looking statements

Alpha Summit Content may include statements of future expectations and other forward looking statements. These are based on our views and assumptions at the time they are made, and they involve known and unknown risks and uncertainties that could cause actual results, performance, or events to differ materially from what is expressed or implied. In addition to statements that are forward looking because of their context, words such as "may," "will," "should," "expects," "plans," "intends," "anticipates," "believes," "estimates," "predicts," "potential," and "continue," and similar expressions, identify forward looking statements. Do not place undue reliance on them.
